Integrations
OBS Layouts and Map Casting
Build browser-source layouts, expose table-safe information, and rotate access keys when needed.
About 11 minutes
Enable OBS and protect its key
- Open Campaign Settings, then Streaming (OBS).
- Enable the integration and copy the browser-source URL needed by OBS from the Browser Sources list.
- Add it as a Browser Source at the resolution expected by the chosen overlay.
- Rotate the key immediately if the URL is exposed to someone who should not have access.
Important
A browser-source URL contains an access key. Treat the complete URL as a secret and never include it in screenshots, streams, logs, or shared campaign exports.
Build an overlay layout
- Create a layout from a preset or start with an empty canvas.
- Add initiative, party roster, rotating character, and date widgets as needed.
- Position and resize widgets on the 1920 by 1080 canvas.
- Configure each widget, select a theme, and preview the result.
- Copy the layout-specific browser-source URL into OBS.
Best practice
Build one restrained layout per broadcast purpose. A combat bar and a table cast usually read better as separate scenes.
Cast a map safely
- Open DM Screen Broadcast mode or a campaign map and start casting it to the OBS map source.
- Mark only the intended pins as stream-safe.
- Use the pointer and label controls when directing attention during play.
- Stop casting or switch maps when the scene changes.
Important
The map image itself may contain spoilers even when every hidden pin is filtered. Preview the complete OBS scene before going live.
Use the War Table background
The animated War Table browser source is a decorative broadcast background. Choose Calm, Active, or Dramatic motion to fit the scene, and layer readable overlays above it in OBS.
