Configure entity types and fields
- Open Campaign Settings, then Entity Types.
- Hide system types the campaign does not use, or restore them to navigation later.
- Create a custom type with a clear singular name and recognizable color.
- Add custom fields with stable keys, labels, types, options, and required status.
- Save the type before creating records that depend on its schema.
Important
Treat field keys as durable identifiers. Renaming a display label is safer than repeatedly changing the underlying key after records contain data.
Create note templates
- Open Campaign Settings, then Note Templates.
- Choose an entity type and build the note structure new records should start with.
- Enable the template by default only when most new records benefit from it.
- Create a new entity to verify the template is concise and useful.
Best practice
Use prompts and headings that help the GM think. Avoid a large checklist that makes every record feel unfinished.
Create relationship types
- Open Campaign Settings, then Relation Types.
- Enter a stable internal name, a readable label, and an inverse label when direction matters.
- Optionally limit the allowed source and target entity types.
- Save and test the relationship on two representative entities.
Important
A custom relationship type already in use may have deletion restrictions. Review its relationship count before changing or removing it.
