Welcome to Tapestry
Learn how campaigns, entities, connections, and player visibility fit together.

What Tapestry organizes
Tapestry is a shared campaign workspace. Game Masters build and run the world; players keep journals and explore only the information shared with them.
Most campaign information is stored as an entity. Characters, locations, quests, sessions, rumors, encounters, and custom record types all use the same connected foundation.
Four concepts to know
- Campaigns contain the people, places, notes, sessions, maps, and settings for one game.
- Entities are individual records such as a character, location, quest, or session.
- Relationships connect entities so you can follow the campaign as a web rather than a folder tree.
- Visibility controls determine exactly which players can see each piece of GM-authored information.
Best practice
Start with the facts you need for the next session. Tapestry becomes more useful as the campaign grows; it does not need to be complete on day one.
Choose your path
Game Masters should continue with the GM Quick Start. Players who received an invitation or join link should use the Player Quick Start.
