Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Tapestry, a campaign workspace for tabletop role-playing games ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Your account

• You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service.

3. Your content

Campaigns, notes, maps, images, and everything else you create or upload remain yours. You grant us only the limited license needed to store, process, and display that content in order to operate the Service — for example, saving your notes, rendering your maps, and sharing entries with players you invite. We do not use your content for anything else.

You are responsible for the content you upload. Do not upload content that is unlawful or that infringes someone else's rights.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• The core Service is available on a free plan.
• Tapestry Premium is an optional subscription that unlocks premium storage and streaming features (such as map image uploads and OBS integrations) for campaigns you own. Players and invited co-DMs never need a subscription.
• New accounts receive a 14-day Premium trial. No payment card is required for the trial.
• Premium memberships and payments are processed by Patreon; your membership is also subject to Patreon's terms.
• Premium memberships renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel from Patreon at any time; Premium remains active while Patreon reports that your account is entitled to the Premium tier. See our Refund Policy.

5. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the Service, probe or breach its security, access other users' data, resell the Service, or use it to distribute unlawful content. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. Third-party game content

Tapestry includes content from SRD 5.2.1 and SRD 5.1 by Wizards of the Coast LLC under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license. It also includes Open Game Content from the v3.5 System Reference Document under the Open Game License v1.0a. Tapestry is an independent product: it is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or approved by Wizards of the Coast LLC. Content you import from other sources (including D&D Beyond) is your responsibility to use lawfully.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service reliable, but it is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Features may change over time. Export tools let you download your campaigns as JSON at any time, and we encourage regular exports of content you care about.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Deleted campaigns are recoverable for a limited window, after which they are permanently removed. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tapestry and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the application. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
